The Macungie Ambulance Corps' training program will have the following goals

• Provide training to fulfill all corps required courses for our members.
• Provide ongoing quality training opportunities for out members and other members of the emergency response community. These courses are to be designed to improve skills, supplement knowledge, and obtain CEU's required for re-certification.
• Provide emergency medical training on an as needed basis for other civic, public service, and emergency response organizations in our community.

In order to meet these goals, the following classes will be offered by the Corps.

CPR and AED

• Will be held bi-annually
• Courses will be held the last Fridays and Saturdays of March and September
• Type of course(full, refresher, or challenge) and times to be decided based on need

Blood Borne Pathogens

• Will be held bi-annually
• Courses will be held the last Fridays and Saturdays of March and September with CPR
• A goal is to be able to provide this training on-line in the station

Hazardous Materials Awareness

• Will be held bi-annually
• Courses will be held the last Saturdays of April and October
• Time 0800 - 1200

Emergency Vehicle Operations Course

• Will be held annually
• Courses will be held the first weekend in June.

Continuing Education

• Will be taught by EMI
• CEU's 2 hours each
• Times and subjects to be decided and announced as needed
